Finally gone live

I like the Christmas season. But maybe for different reasons than other people do: I like it because I usually get around doing things for which I usually don't have the time (or don't want to spend my precious time on). This year it's my website (once again): it's finished and today I switched from my old, handcoded site to my new shiny Drupal-powered one.

The last things I've done was create a gallery with Regina's drawings and painting and writing a lot of Apache redirect rules so that old bookmarks/links to pages and important files on my old site don't end on a 404 page but instead redirect to their new locations. I take pride in being a good web citizen.

I also wrote a little Drupal module: you can see it in action on the right: it's a module that displays quotes from my quotation database. It even got a simple but working administration form in which I can add new quotes. What's missing is a possibility to dump that database to the browser like on my old site.

The current theme is a default Drupal theme, I need to create my own some time...
